Lotty and I went to Berlin a couple of weeks ago to visit the Ramones Museum, it's one hell of a place!

When we came home Lotty got this fast four inspired doodle that I drew tattooed on her arm.

Hey, I'm back home from a long tour with The Arteries. I got a few things done before we left in October but didn't get a chance to upload them...

Here are 2 of those things;

A shirt design for my best Buds in Static Radio NJ, it's a picture of my best bud Pugs looking like Glenn D. Complete with a last can of a 6 pack, Big Mike tattoo and dripping crucifix. A Bud cocktail. There has been talk of turning this into an Arteries shirt design too, so that ol' Pugzig gets an even wider spread. Imagine that!

I also designed a 7" layout for French punk rock trio, Pink Flamingos. Here is the sleeve art;

I got the chance to pick up a copy when we were in Le Havre, it turned out looking pretty cool.

I have a HUGE to do list to crack on with. I'm super excited about a lot of if. Some how I've got the chance to work with one of my favourite bands. Holy Smokes! Watch this space...

I've been working on a whole bunch of stuff recently and still have a way to go with most of it. I kinda feel as if my head is going to explode. Whatever, your head is way overrated right?

Even though i've been busy slaving away, i don't actually have that much to show for it right now...

Having said that, here are a couple of pieces that are done and dusted;

A 7" sleeve for a split record by SSSSNAKES and THE SLOW DEATH.

A pocket tee design for THE ARTERIES

A Euro/UK tour poster for MIKEY ERG! ARTERIES and THE SLOW DEATH. This will be screen printed and available at the shows and in the SWFU! Shop if any are left over afterwards.

I broke my foot and was in a cast so I stayed home and tried to get lots of productive stuff done. Between many mind numbing hours of really shitty TV and being babysat by friends, I got through a good chunk of my to do list.

My friend Chris from THE FLATLINERS and I joint forces and worked together on a tour poster for a Canadian and US tour that we are doing together in October. Check out CHRIS' BLOG!

NIGHT BIRDS are coming over for a UK and European tour next month and SSSSNAKES are playing a show with them in Swansea's number one (official) kick ass bar, Mozart's, It's going to be one hell of a show so come out and have fun! By the way, incase you are wondering, Swansea's premier unofficial bar is this infamous shack.

Most recently, I put this shirt design together for my buddy Nath who runs a very ethical and kick ass shop/brand/company down in Devon called NO GUTS NO GLORY.

Having said that, two characteristics regarding ol' Moth Man's appearance remain consistent across the board of each witnesses account. Firstly; his red hypnotic eyes, and secondly his taupe dick.

That's right, the old dog is a father to no one.

Moth Man gets a lot of bad press. My fellow ARTERIES and I fight a constant battle, doing everything we can to bring this cryptid love machine's good name to justice.

My good buddies Jack and Nath are starting some sort of charity based organisation with lots of positive, constructive plans for the near future. They needed a logo and asked me to do it. The project is called, 'Common Goals.'

Big Mike - Sometime, Somewhere

He wanted to mainly use photography with text layered over the top of the images so that's what i did. It was enjoyable to actually use some of my photos for something.

Recently I've been getting into making flyers in a knock 'em up fashion using the xerox machines at Staples. Scanners and Photoshop have made my brain and fingers lazy. When I'd help put on gigs with friends as a snotty teenager we used to just rock up to the copying machines with Thrasher magazines, pens and scissors and make the flyers on the spot, they always looked cool and it was fun!

For some reason I'm really into doing things that way again. Maybe it's nostalgia.

The coolest thing about making flyers in the dreaded StaplesOfficeSupplySuperStore is that they have everything you need right there and if you act like you know what you're doing you don't have to pay for ANY of the supplies that you use - Take That!

I made a t shirt design for my friends in ASTPAI.

They are a really kick ass band, they are on tour in April, if you get a chance then go and see them play, they rule!

They're playing at Mozart's in Swansea with the all mighty NOZZLE on april 14th. i'm going to staples to make a poster for it tomorrow...

I also doodled on some 7" sleeves for my friends in THE COMPUTERS

They are releasing a single and getting friends of theirs to customise each sleeve so that they are all individual. Sounds like a pretty cool idea!

I thought it would be good to spread one design across all 4 sleeves that i was given.

Before embarking on a 5 week tour, mainly around the treacherous and frozen landscape of eastern europe, my friend Rhys Polopee and I printed a load of A2 posters to sell at the shows...

We also printed a load of these crusty back patches but there aren't ant left.

I think Polopee might print some more when he gets a chance. At least in time for our next Arteries tour.

San Francisco's DEAD TO ME are coming to town in April we're putting them on in swansea so i knocked up a flyer and printed a bunch out, if you'd like one i'm sure they'll be loads on the floor after the mighty TAINT send off show tonight - cutting flyers out in the shape of a coffin takes time people.

i'm up way too late tonight, my sleep patterns have gone do lally. i've been working on a poster for The Arteries/Astpai Eastern European 'AA/DC' tour that is happening throughout the bone chilling month of January, i'm really excited to visit a whole bunch of places that i've never been before, places like; Russia, Romania, Latvia and Transylvania! But... I am definitely not excited about the temperature!

i've been away with The Arteries for the last few months, as a result my brain has turned to spam and my creativity seems to be either stuck in a part of the spam that isn't accessible right now or just at an all time low. despite this, there is no time for fucking around! i have a huge list of design work to do and i have nearly 10 films to process and sort through. i will try my best to upload worthwhile images as and when i get things done...

the last real project that i worked on was the artwork for the new arteries record 'Dead Sea'

the album is initially coming out on CD via SWFU and Specialist Subject Records and is later going to be released on LP by Florida's Paper + Plastic.

I've been busy getting photos, prints and frames ready for a final exhibition at my school, yesterday the wonderfully helpful kerry evans framed up all the prints and i hung around trying my best to help, then i got it all up on the wall today.

The exhibition opens tomorrow night at 6pm at swansea met then goes to london and opens at the free range gallery for a week on june 10th, there will be free beer and wine at both and photography too...

he said, 'it's not going to take very long' put I don't want to grow up on (from that song onwards) and was done by the time the time No FB started!

I've been working on a poster for my friend trev. trev runs Swansea Collective.

I was thinking a bout doing some sort of bumble bee / bee hive / bee hive hair do idea...

I made a bunch of different 'poster' versions for the show but couldn't get anything to look right, sometimes shit just doesn't work out i guess.

I still think it's a cool idea and i like the little bees so i'm going to do something with it at some point, maybe even just screen print it as an image as opposed to a poster.

because i couldn't get a poster for the show trev is doing from it i kinda left him in the shit so... i knocked this up earlier today;

It's weird, i try and stay away from doing things mainly or worse still 100% on a computer, apart form the text this was all done fucking around in photoshop and even though i like the end result i feel dirty for it! until the day this shit sees ink and paper i'm nothing more than a digital shlub!

p.s. check out PJ Bond, he is a good friend and a great song writer...

some things REALLY piss me off! i guess it's my own fault for even flicking through the trash but i can't help getting angry when i see a retard from lost prophets wearing a Black Flag shirt, there is no possible way that you can be into, understand and believe in a band like Black Flag and even have a slight connection with bull shit like lost prophets, let alone be in the band! I guess he must think that Black Flag is a clothing brand... I'm annoyed at myself for even taking that time to give these assholes the time of day and write this but sometimes somethings NEED to be vented to keep your sanity.

If only Ginn could see this, i know he would set things straight!

My friend Dave has just started a new band called BANQUETS and he asked me to do a design for them that they could use as a T Shirt design, that sounded cool, they love drinking so i thought of doing some sort of drunk moonshine bird/eagle type thing.

I fucked up my first attempt of drawing an eagle and then ended up drawing a beer can, it came out alright so i thought i should just go with it. I then called my friend Pugs and asked what Dave's new band was called because i had forgotten, he told me they were called 'Banquet.' Turns out they are called 'BanquetS!' and that name comes from a certain type of beer...

The long and the short of the story is that a t shirt design with the wrong band name and PBR colours didn't cut the mustard...

oh well... i will try doing some sort of drunk eagle again asap!

I initially wanted to use a photo of the Wet Bandits from the Home Alone movies for the Xmas show poster below but i couldn't find a good photo of them, I came across one of John Candy in my search and ended up just rolling with it, I guess people as cool looking as Candy make you forget that there isn't actually any festive link, thanks John, may you rest in piece!

I'm going to screen print a bunch of posters and some other stuff that I have done really soon...

I did a koozy design for STATIC RADIO NJ around the same time as the MothMan design last autumn...

They then asked for a shirt design too! i used a photo of my friend (and their friend) Pugs and made him look like a crazy mexican wrestler

Static are a really great band, they rule - check them out!

THE DEAD CITY STEREO wanted a shirt design, i though that a shitty drawing of the Anti Hero logo would look cool...

It turned out like this...

They never got the shirt done because they sorta split up, but they have a 7" of songs that never got released coming out and i think that this might be used for the cover!

Friends Of MothMan!

So, i've been thinking about creating a blog for ages, i do all this design and photography stuff and I'm pretty sick of just putting images into my crappy myspace photo albums So what better time to get round to actually doing it, than time that should be spent writing a bullshit dissertation?!

For the sake of initially having images on here i'm going to post some recent and some less recent stuff that i have been working on...

Last September i did a NeckFace inspired 'MothMan' design for THE ARTERIES (I play bass in this band.)

MothMan is a pretty intense dude, you can read about him here...

We used this design for shirts and koozies when we went to the U.S. East Coast last October...

The Shirts looked cool, we are all out
